Well done to the u10 footballers who beat Robertstown 2-5 to 3-0 to make it into the Division 5 Final!!! In a thrilling encounter, both teams battled fiercely all over the field, showcasing their skills and determination. Possession was evenly contested, with neither side willing to concede an inch. As the first half unfolded, it was Ballycane that proved to be more clinical in front of goal. Seizing the crucial opportunities that came our way, we showcased our attacking prowess and converted our chances into scores. Our first goal put some daylight between the teams just before half time. Despite the close contest, we managed to secure the lead with the scoreline standing at 1-3 to 1-0 in our favour at halftime. As the second half developed, our forwards upped their game much more, tipping on another 2 points before grasping another crucial goal to add even more breathing room between the teams. Our backs worked flawlessly, closing down spaces and intercepting key passes to thwart any Robertstown attack. It was a hard-fought battle and both teams demonstrated their skill and passion. However, Robertstown tore off the shackles at the end and scored 2 very late goals to give the game a nervy ending. But it was Ballycane's day and when the referee's whistle blew, our team emerged victorious thanks to the hard work from all our players and our subs. The final score being 2-5 to 3-0. Ballycane emerged victorious and we now go and prepare for our final next week against Clocha Rince NS.
