                                               Student Council Report
Our very first Student Council met in April . We were presented with our Student Council badges during school assembly and set to work straight away. We decided that Sophie and Rian would chair our meetings and Emilia would be the secretary. We meet at least once a month. Our other committee members are Holly, Max, Adam, Harry , Emilija, Daisy and Kaelin
Our first job was to link with the Junior , Senior Infant , First and Second Classes. Each council member is responsible for linking and representing the views and ideas from one of these classes. The Junior classes made some very good suggestions like a “Buddy Bench” for the school yard.
Our projects this year included helping out at the Junior Infant and Pre-School induction days, Communion parties, Sports Week and Second Class Graduation Day.
Adam and Sophie will be our first Junior Road Safety Officers and will work hard with Kildare County Council to improve road safety for all in our school community.
Ms Nolan donated two Buddy Benches and they will be in our School yard very soon. We have made some rules so that the Buddy Benches are used properly .
We are looking forward to continuing our work this year and we have some special projects planned. We will be visiting the junior classes again to listen to any suggestions that you might have.
We hope you all have a happy year . Remember to be kind and friendly, work well and try your best .
The Student Council.
