Principal's Welcome
Welcome to Scoil an Linbh Íosa Website.
We hope that you find our website user friendly and that you find the information here that you are looking for.
If not, our door is always open and do make an appointment to visit us personally.
Scoil an Linbh Íosa is a Co-Educational Catholic school and the children are central to all our activities as a team.
The child’s welfare is our prime concern and all other considerations are subordinate to it.
Our Mission is to give each child the help and the facilities which will enable him/her to develop physically, mentally, emotionally, morally, spiritually and socially in a healthy manner and in conditions of freedom and dignity.
Scoil an Linbh Íosa will endeavour to enhance the self-esteem of everyone in the school community.
Our school opened in September 1980 and has catered well for the needs of children since then.
We have achieved four Green flags for recycling and caring for our world. We have achieved a Yellow flag for diversity and interculturalism and also a Digital Schools of Distinction award for the use of ICT.
We have a very dedicated and committed teaching and ancillary staff team. They work diligently at all times for the advancement of each and every pupil in their care.
Our Board of Management and Parent Teacher Association are really hard working and always have the best interests of the school and the children at the centre of every decision that they make.
I hope that you will find our school website useful and that you will contact the school directly if you require any further information or clarification.
If you are not familiar with our school and wish to enquire about enrolling a child, I am more than happy to give you a tour of our school and answer any questions you may have.
